Wave Murano Glass
Wave Murano Glass presented its newest masterpiece, the Silver Sprout chandelier, at Euroluce 2019 during the Salone del Mobile in Milan, and will now be showcasing this magnificent work for the duration of the Venice Art Biennale at the Franco Schiavon Gallery in Murano, in the beautiful industrial showroom adjacent to the main Gallery.
The chandelier is the product of glass master Roberto Beltrami’s personal creativity and experimentation with historical Murano glass typologies and cutting-edge technological innovations such as 3D printing. Based on the traditional “Rezzonico” style, a complex iconic style featuring arms made of nested modular elements and gardens of glass flowers and leaves, this ethereal 24-light chandelier has been blown in silver-flecked black glass, which contrasts with the innovative 3D-printed orange fiberglass elements that play with solids and voids to provide the lightness and transparency that the black glass has relinquished.
The timeless organic design of these elements is the focus of the Wave Murano’s experimental work – a must-see for all visitors to the Biennale Arte this year
